چکیده

To explore the quality rootstocks which impart better fruits in mango varieties, we studied interactive effect of scion and rootstock using five varieties (Mallika, Amrapali, Dashehari, Pusa Arunima, Surya) grafted on three (Olour, Kurukkan, K-5). A total 25 physico-chemical parameters were viz., fruit weight, yield efficiency, per plant, pulp percent, soluble solids (TSS), acidity, physiological loss weight (PLW), peel thickness, respiration rate, etc., found to be altered through scion–rootstock interaction. Among Olour proved best improve shelf life grafting approach. Physico-chemical-traits-based clustering was unable precisely group according their rootstock. 35 shelf-life specific markers designed from ripening genes, such as expansin, polygalactouranase, ethylene insensitive, sensitive, etc. Of these primers, 24 showed polymorphism among genotypes. The gene diversity (GD), allele locus (An), information content (PIC), major frequency (MAF) observed 0.43, 2.00, 0.34, 0.63, respectively. Cluster analysis clearly that Kurukkan rootstock, K-5 grouped together have more similarity. eight simple sequence repeats loci (SSRs) associated with traits. Strong association SSR NMSLC-12 NMSLC-14 efficiency a phenotypic variance 85% 70%,

Anticarcinogenic effects of polyphenolics from mango (Mangifera indica) varieties.

Many polyphenolics contained in mango have shown anticancer activity. The objective of this study was to compare the anticancer properties of polyphenolic extracts from several mango varieties (Francis, Kent, Ataulfo, Tommy Atkins, and Haden) in cancer cell lines, including Molt-4 leukemia, A-549 lung, MDA-MB-231 breast, LnCap prostate, and SW-480 colon cancer cells and the noncancer colon cell...

Molecular diversity of Pakistani mango (Mangifera indica L.) varieties based on microsatellite markers.

Understanding the genetic diversity of different Pakistani mango varieties is important for germplasm management and varietal characterization. Microsatellites are efficient and highly polymorphic markers for comparative genome mapping, and were used in the present study to determine the genetic relatedness and variability among 15 indigenous mango cultivars (Mangifera indica L.). Overall, 181 ...

Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Lyophilization Using Vacuum-Induced Freezing

Abstract—Lyophilization, also called freeze-drying, is an important dehydration technique mainly used for pharmaceuticals. Food industry also uses lyophilization when it is important to retain most of the nutritional quality, taste, shape and size of dried products and to extend their shelf life. Vacuum-Induced during freezing cycle (VI) has been used in order to control ice nucleation and, con...

Volatile components from mango (Mangifera indica L.) cultivars.

The volatile components of 20 mango cultivars were investigated by means of simultaneous distillation-extraction, GC, and GC-MS. Three hundred and seventy-two compounds were identified, of which 180 were found for the first time in mango fruit. The total concentration of volatiles was approximately 18-123 mg/kg of fresh fruit. Terpene hydrocarbons were the major volatiles of all cultivars, the ...

Morphological Characterization, Quality, Yield and DNA Fingerprinting of Biofield Energy Treated Alphonso Mango (Mangifera indica L.)

Alphonso is the most delicious variety of mango (Mangifera indica L.) known for its excellent texture, taste, and richness with vitamins and minerals. The present study was attempted to evaluate the impact of Mr. Trivedi’s biofield energy treatment on morphological characteristics, quality, yield and molecular assessment of mango. A plot of 16 acres lands used for this study with already grown ...
